BOARD MEETING MINUTES
Monday, October  23, 2006 5:30 PM
8th Floor Conference Room – City Hall
CALL TO ORDER: Meeting was called to order by President Genia Ellis at 5:30 PM.  .  
ROLL CALL:  Recording Secretary Bunney Brenneman recorded the roll of Officers and Directors with those present as: President Genia Ellis, 1st Vice President Reid Morgan, Recording Secretary Bunney Brenneman, Corresponding Secretary David Marshall, Treasurer Ed Barranco,  District I Representative Betty Shelley (5:38), District III Representative Audley Ebanks, and Chairman of Committees Richard Mancuso.   Excused were: 2nd Vice President Elizabeth Hays, and District IV Representative Bill Nielsen.  Absent was District II Representative Jan Idelman.   A quorum was present. Guests were Past President Dennis Ulmer and Pam Brown. 
REVIEW & APPROVAL OF September 25, 2006 MEETING MINUTES:  Minutes were approved as presented and on the web site. (Attachment A). 
TREASURER’S REPORT:   Treasurer Ed Barranco reported that the Treasurer’s Report was the same as last meeting and will be held for audit. Update on Storage of Records - Recording Secretary Bunney Brenneman stated that she has 3 weeks vacation coming in December and that she will spend as much time as it takes using that time to look for the records and bring everything up to date.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: 
1. Appointment of District IV Representative  –  A MOTION by Ed Barranco was moved, seconded, discussed, and carried to ascertain the willingness of Jeannie Burke to serve out the remaining term of Bill Nielsen as District IV Representative.  By general Consensus, if Jeannie Burke is not available, then President Ellis will contact the second and third choices.
2. December Meeting/ Social/ Date -  A MOTION by Dave Marshall was moved, seconded, discussed, and carried to hold the “Dish to Pass/Pot Luck ” social on December 5th, or another suitable date at the discretion of planner Betty Shelley. The date change in our regular meeting was necessitated because of the change in the meeting date of the Commission from the 5th to the 12th of December.  President Ellis will supply Honey Baked Ham, and Betty Shelley will bring Turkey Breasts.
3. Upcoming Subjects for Presentation – January Meeting Suggestions will be discussed at the next meeting. 
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Robert’s Rules Seminar/ Workshop – President Ellis stated that she had received a letter of thanks from Pat McDougle. Certificates of Completion for the seminar were also issued.
2. Timely posting of Agenda, Minutes, Committee Reports and Announcements to the web – President Ellis went over the need for this to be done by all for reminders and advance notice of events.    
COMMITTEE REPORTS -  Chairman Mancuso requested information from the Committees Chairs as to whether they would have reports for the November 14th  General Meeting.
FOR THE GOOD OF THE COMMUNITY – President Ellis reported that 2nd Vice President Betty Hays is doing well after her surgery.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
• The November 14, 2006 meeting will have a Roundtable Discussion on compatibility issues in neighborhoods, ULDR parameters were mentioned as were overlays, and floor /area ratios.  Additional names proffered were; Sam Poole-Attorney, and Art Bengochea.
ADJOURNED:  The meeting was adjourned at 6:18
Following the meeting, Pam Brown presented her research findings and reviewed them with us.  .
